BOOK@ is a marketplace that connects you with event organizers, courses, and shops. The organizer runs the event and sets its refund policy. We run the platform. By using BOOK@ you agree to these Terms.
These Terms of Service govern your use of BOOK@, operated from Office 304, Floor 3, Khalaf & Ishtay Building, Al-Madina Al-Monawara Street, Amman, Jordan. References to "we", "us", and "BOOK@" mean the operator of bookat.net. References to "you" mean the person using the platform, whether as a buyer or an organizer.
1. What these Terms cover
BOOK@ is an online marketplace for event tickets, courses, shop products, and gift cards. We provide the technology that allows organizers to list and sell, and that allows you to discover and buy. We are not the producer of the events or the seller of the goods unless we say so clearly on the relevant page.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- Each account belongs to one person. Sharing credentials is not permitted.
- Information you provide must be accurate and kept up to date.
- If a law in your country forbids you from using a service like BOOK@, you must not use it.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your login credentials and for activity on your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us promptly at info@bookat.net so we can help secure the account. We may suspend an account that shows signs of fraud, abuse, or breach of these Terms.
4. Buying tickets and other items
A ticket is a revocable license issued by the organizer that grants the holder admission to a specific event under the organizer's conditions. When you buy a ticket on BOOK@:
- You agree to the organizer's event terms and house rules, including any age, dress, ID, or conduct requirements shown on the event page.
- The QR code on your ticket is the bearer instrument used for entry. Keep it private. The first valid scan is admitted.
- Resale above face value is not allowed where the organizer or applicable law prohibits it.
- Course and shop purchases follow the listing's stated terms and any delivery or access rules shown at checkout.
Refunds for tickets and courses are governed by the organizer's refund policy, which is displayed on the event or course page before purchase. Where Jordanian law grants a non-waivable consumer right, that right remains.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by PayTabs or Stripe. Card details are entered on the processor and are not stored by BOOK@. The primary settlement currency is the Jordanian Dinar (JOD). Service fees, if any, are shown before you confirm the order.
6. Organizers on BOOK@
If you list events, courses, or products on BOOK@, you are responsible for:
- Accurate listings, including date, venue, lineup, age limits, and what the ticket includes.
- Running the event lawfully and obtaining any required permits or licenses.
- Setting a clear refund policy and honoring it.
- Charging and remitting any taxes that apply to your sales.
- Complying with venue rules and respecting attendee safety.
You grant BOOK@ a non-exclusive license to host, display, and promote your listings for the purpose of operating the platform.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for fraud, money laundering, or any unlawful activity.
- Buy or attempt to buy tickets using bots, scripts, or other automated means.
- Scrape, mirror, or reverse engineer any part of the service.
- Impersonate another person, organizer, or business.
- Abuse chargebacks or dispute legitimate charges in bad faith.
- Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, or harmful.
8. Our role versus the organizer's role
BOOK@ provides the platform. The organizer produces the event, controls the experience on the ground, and decides admission. Disputes about what happened at an event, the quality of a course, or the condition of a product are primarily between you and the organizer or seller. We will help where we reasonably can.
9. Intellectual property
The BOOK@ name, logo, and platform are our property or licensed to us. Organizer and user content remains owned by the person who submitted it, subject to the license described in Section 6. You must not copy or use BOOK@ branding without written permission.
10. Service availability
We work to keep BOOK@ available, but we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service. We may schedule maintenance, and unplanned downtime can occur. We are not liable for an outage outside our reasonable control.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Jordanian law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to BOOK@ is limited to the total fees you paid to BOOK@ in the twelve months before the claim arose. Rights that cannot be excluded under Jordanian consumer law remain.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or where required by law or a competent authority. You may close your account at any time by contacting info@bookat.net. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will give notice through the site or by email to the address on your account. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Disputes will be brought before the competent courts of Amman, without prejudice to any non-waivable consumer rights granted to you by the law of your place of residence.
