BOOK@ uses cookies so you can log in, keep your language and city preference, and so we can understand how the site is used in aggregate. You can control cookies in your browser settings or through our consent banner. If you turn off the strictly necessary cookies, login and checkout will not work.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit it. They are used by most websites to remember information about your visit, such as your preferred language, the items in your cart, or whether you are signed in. This Cookie Policy explains which cookies bookat.net uses, why we use them, and how you can control them.
2. Categories of cookies we use
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the site to function. Without them you will not be able to log in, complete a checkout, or submit forms safely. They cannot be turned off through our consent banner.
- laravel_session: your session identifier. It is required for login, checkout, and CSRF protection.
- XSRF-TOKEN: a CSRF token used to protect form submissions against cross-site request forgery.
2.2 Functional cookies
These cookies remember your preferences so the site behaves the way you expect on your next visit. You can disable them, but you may lose your saved preferences.
- lang: stores your selected site language (Arabic or English).
- bookat_city: stores your selected city so we can show events relevant to where you are.
- cookie-consent: records that you have acknowledged this cookie notice so it does not reappear on every visit.
2.3 Analytics cookies
If the site administrator has enabled analytics, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use bookat.net in aggregate. This typically involves cookies such as _ga and _gid. We use this information to improve the site. We do not use it to identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the tools that Google provides.
2.4 Third-party cookies at checkout
When you pay for a booking, our payment providers PayTabs and Stripe set their own cookies to detect and prevent fraud and to complete the transaction. These cookies are governed by the privacy and cookie policies of those providers, which are linked from the checkout page. BOOK@ does not control these cookies.
3. How long cookies last
- Session cookies expire when you close your browser.
- Persistent functional cookies generally last for up to one year unless you clear them earlier.
- Analytics cookies follow the provider's default lifetime, typically up to two years.
- Third-party payment cookies follow the lifetimes set by PayTabs and Stripe.
4. How to control cookies
You have several ways to control cookies on bookat.net.
- Your browser settings. Every modern browser allows you to view, block, or delete cookies. Please refer to your browser's help documentation for the exact steps.
- Our consent banner. On your first visit you will see a notice asking you to accept this Cookie Policy. Your choice is stored in the cookie-consent cookie.
- Opt-out tools. For Google Analytics you may use the browser add-on or other opt-out tools that Google provides.
If you disable the strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site will stop working. In particular, you will not be able to log in, complete a checkout, or submit forms protected by CSRF tokens.
5. Do Not Track signals
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal to websites. BOOK@ does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals because there is no consistent industry standard for how to interpret them. We will revisit this position if a clear standard emerges.
6. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in applicable law. When we make material changes we will communicate them through a notice on the site. The date at the bottom of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
7. Contact
