BOOK@ is free to join. There is no subscription and no setup fee. When an organizer sells a ticket, BOOK@ charges a small per-ticket service fee, and the payment processor (PayTabs or Stripe) charges its own processing fee that is passed through. Every fee that applies to a transaction is shown before it is applied: the organizer sees the rate in the dashboard before publishing, and the buyer sees any buyer-side fee at checkout before payment is completed.
How fees are structured
Fees on BOOK@ are made up of three possible components:
- A per-ticket service fee charged by BOOK@ to the organizer on each ticket sold.
- A payment processing fee charged by the payment gateway (PayTabs or Stripe) on each successful charge.
- A buyer-side service fee, where it applies, shown to the buyer at checkout.
Free tickets do not incur a BOOK@ service fee. Payment processing fees only apply when money actually moves through the gateway.
Organizer fees
The BOOK@ organizer fee is a percentage of each paid ticket sold through the platform. The exact rate that will apply to your event is shown to you inside your organizer dashboard before you publish the event. You confirm the rate at the moment you publish, and that rate is then locked for that event.
The rate may vary by event category, country, or volume tier. There is no subscription fee, no listing fee, and no setup fee for organizers. You only pay when you sell a paid ticket.
Payment processing fees
Card and online payments are handled by PayTabs and Stripe. The processing fee on each transaction is set by the processor, not by BOOK@, and is passed through to the organizer. You can review the processing fee on each transaction in your settlement statement, and the buyer sees the total amount they will be charged at checkout before confirming payment.
Buyer-side service fee
Some events include a small buyer-side service fee on top of the ticket price. When that is the case, the fee is shown to the buyer in the order summary before payment is completed. The buyer is never charged a fee that was not displayed before checkout.
Currency and conversion
The display currency on BOOK@ is the Jordanian Dinar (JOD). If a buyer pays with a card issued in another currency, the buyer's issuing bank handles the conversion from JOD to the card currency at the bank's own rate. BOOK@ does not set, collect, or refund any difference that results from that conversion.
Taxes
Value Added Tax (VAT) and any other taxes apply where required by Jordanian law. Applicable taxes are shown on the invoice issued for the transaction and on the organizer's settlement statement.
Withdrawals and payouts
Payouts to organizers are released to the registered bank account on the schedule agreed for the event, after the event has ended and after any refund or chargeback window has passed. If the receiving bank charges a wire or transfer fee on incoming funds, that fee is deducted by the bank and is not controlled by BOOK@.
Refunds of fees
As a general rule, the BOOK@ service fee and payment processing fees are non-refundable. If a buyer is refunded for any reason, the underlying ticket price is returned, but the fees that were already charged on the original transaction may not be returned.
The exception is when the organizer fully cancels the event, or when the event cannot take place due to force majeure. In those cases, BOOK@ will return its service fee on affected tickets. Processor fees are subject to the gateway's own refund policy.
When fees change
BOOK@ may revise fees from time to time. Material changes are communicated to organizers through the dashboard before they take effect. Events that are already scheduled and published keep the fee that was in effect at the time they were published. New fees only apply to events that are newly published after the notice date.
